Are YouTube videos a sufficient resource for informing patients in the treatment of rotator cuff tears?

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the information quality YouTube videos on rotator cuff tear treatment. 
 Material and Method: A search performed using keyword ‘rotator tear’ determine first 100 most watched related tears. total 57 met our inclusion criteria were included in study. Videos evaluated for by DISCERN, Journal American Medical Association (JAMA), informational assessment (RCIA) scores. Number views, time since upload, view rate, number likes, dislikes used calculate video power index (VPI) these popularity. Video length (sec), source content also correlation evaluations. Results: mean DISCERN score 33.81 (21-56), JAMA 3.05 (1-4), RCIA 3.63 (0.5-7.5). Statistical analysis revealed that, independent popularity, informationally poor inadequate. only significant between data source.
